About

Family Support Initiative

Fasi Foundation is dedicated to enhancing child health and family empowerment in Uganda's vulnerable communities through impactful programs and partnerships.

Our Vision

To foster dignified living among vulnerable communities through equitable access to essential services, sustainable resource use and financial independence.

Our Mission

Our mission is to break socioeconomic barriers to accessing and utilizing child health services for marginalized communities.

Our values

Respect

We honour the dignity, rights, and perspectives of all individuals, recognizing the unique contributions and experiences of every community member, caregiver, and partner.

Equity

We are committed to providing fair opportunities and resources to all, ensuring that marginalized and vulnerable communities receive the support they need to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.

We believe in the power of working together with community members, partners, and stakeholders. Through collaboration, we leverage diverse skills, ideas, and resources to achieve sustainable, long-term impact.

Collaboration
Transparency

We are open and honest in all our actions, ensuring that our processes, decisions, and resource use are clear, accountable, and accessible to all stakeholders.

Integrity

We uphold the highest ethical standards in everything we do, ensuring that our actions align with our mission, build trust, and contribute to positive, lasting change for the communities we serve.

Our priority

To improve the health and socio-economic wellbeing of children and their caregivers in vulnerable Ugandan communities by increasing access to immunization and nutrition services and empowering caregivers through inclusive health education and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

01

To increase the uptake of essential child health services—including immunization, HIV/TB care, and nutrition—among children under five years in slum and rural communities, through community mobilization and targeted outreach.

02

To reduce malnutrition and health-related risks among children with disabilities by training caregivers in safe and appropriate feeding practices and providing supportive tools and resources.

03

To remove economic barriers to healthcare access by implementing conditional cash transfers and in-kind support to incentivize timely health-seeking behaviors among caregivers.

04

To strengthen family and community-based support systems by organizing vulnerable caregivers into Family Care Groups that provide ongoing health education, peer learning, and psychosocial support.

05

To build the economic resilience of low-income caregivers by providing practical vocational skills training, seed capital, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship support, enabling them to launch and sustain income-generating activities
